• 1890 - Lake was created for Llewellyn Park Country Club.
• 1906 - Lake Cliff Park (and Rink) opened to the public.
• 1913 - Fire destroyed the Skating Rink, the park's grand entrance gate and the "shoot the chutes" amusement ride.
• 1914 - The city bought the park.
• 1921 - Installed a pool and bathhouse.
• 1940's - The city changed Lake Cliff's focus to sports. Tennis, softball, baseball, football and soccer, handball and a volleyball court.
• 1958 - The pool closed.
• 2007 - The city renovated the pergolas, pavilion and vintage playground equipment.
• 2019 - Today it's described as a "City park around a small lake with a rose garden, strolling paths, ball fields & tennis courts. "
